1. The Takahe bird is the flightless bird . The Takahe is called as South Island Takhe or Notornis. These bird is . The Takahe bird founds in New Zealand .

2. The Takahe bird is the Largest Member of Rail Family . The Takahe bird known first to the European in 1847. The  Takahe bird total Popultion is around  400.

3. The DOC,s ( dedicated Takahe recovery programing ) is working hard for increasing the Number of Takahe bird .

4. The length of the Takahe bird ia average is 63 cm . The  average weight of Male Takahe 
is 2.7 Kg and Female Weight is 2.3 Kg

5. The Takahe bird is Extinct for 50 years . But in 1948 Takahe bird was Rediscoverd . these Rediscovery is not done by Scientist or Wildlife Specialist but it is Discovered bySouthland medical doctor Geoffrey Orbell. 

6. The Takahe lifespan is around 16 -18 years in wild. The Takahe birds eats the Starchy leafs and seeds.
